Local Support Groups
The decision to proceed with weight loss surgery should be made after careful consideration. Patients find that the support of others who have had surgery is very helpful
in dealing with the stresses after surgery.
Lisa Naylon, RN, CBN is a patient and liason to Synergy Bariatrics and other support group leaders. Lisa moderates several groups throughout the month that meet in our Fitness Cafe. Some meetings are more appropriate for those considering surgery, while others focus on topics that post-operative patients want to discuss.
Moderated by patients of Synergy Bariatrics, many support groups have started in the Western New York and Northeastern Pennsylvania area. A list of local support groups is available in our office.
