Patient Testimonials
For those of us who are struggling with weight, the latest diets have all been tried before. The choice to have gastric bypass surgery may seem like a drastic one, but to someone who has had weight issues, it can be a lifesaving decision. It was for me.
In coming to Synergy Bariatrics, I was very nervous. My experience at Synergy has been a very positive one. From the time I walked into the office, I knew I would be in good hands. I was treated with dignity and respect from the nurses to the office staff. After meeting with Dr. Caruana, all my anxieties and apprehensions were answered in a very easy to understand way. I felt like Synergy Bariatrics was, and continues to be, the right place for me.
One week after surgery, I fell down some stairs and broke my leg. After a few weeks I was cleared to do some light exercises and came to the gym at Synergy, cast and all. Trainers Mark and Julie were very accommodating and always offer encouragement and guidance.
Everything at Synergy is extremely upbeat, from the support meetings to the members of the gym. Everyone has an optimistic attitude, always offering praise and support. It is wonderful to come to a place where everyone knows exactly what you are going through.
I look at this weight loss journey as a work in progress. I have lost almost 140 pounds. My goal is to lose 200 and I know that with the help and support of everyone at Synergy Bariatrics, my goal will come to fruition.

My journey at Synergy Bariatrics began in November 2008. I have lost 85 lbs so far! Synergy Bariatrics is my new 'family'.
It started with handing in the paperwork------to the surgery-----and it now continues at the gym. Everyone from the office staff to the trainers have helped and supported me to continue on my journey of healthy living. I am at the gym 5-6 times a week and love to exercise! The trainers Julie and Mark have supported and guided me onward, teaching me new exercises, boxing and being my friend. I'm even running on the treadmill and hope to run in the Turkey Trot with the synergy team at Thanksgiving.
I attend Support meetings 2x a month and found that the love and support I receive there has kept me moving onward. I have made many new friends and we support each other and guide each other while we are working out (from discussing recipes, workout routines clothing sizes, and even dating).
My new 'family' at Synergy Bariatrics has given me a new and wonderful outlook on life and what is to come for my future. Look at me now (in a bathing suit) and full of CONFIDENCE!!!!!

Additional Testimonials
In August 2008, I visited Dr. Ron Lelito for a screening when considering lap-band surgery. i found Dr. Lelito to be caring, knowledgeable and informative.
It was a very positive experience at a very difficult time.
- J. J. George
From the beginning process of psychological evaluation and very productive therapy sessions with Dr. Lelito to nutritional behavior sessions with Maria Weber, each process was necessary and meaningful to me while contemplating and then successfully completing the life changing surgery and its future benefits.
Medically, I am off all diabetic, blood pressure and sleep apnea medicines. I have increased energy enabling me to exercise 3 - 5 times per week. Without a doubt, this surgery has saved and prolonged my life. It has given me a better quality of life also.
